Common Questions
What age can my child start riding lessons?
Children can start riding lessons at age 5. We have specially trained kid-safe horses and ponies, including Rosie the Welsh Pony and Clover the Shetland/Welsh Cross, who are gentle and patient with young riders.
Do I need any previous riding experience?
Not at all! Our Discovery Ride is a 30-minute introductory experience designed for complete beginners. Our instructors will teach you everything from mounting to basic steering and stopping.
What should I wear to my riding lesson?
Wear long pants (jeans work well), closed-toe shoes with a small heel (boots are ideal), and comfortable layers. Avoid loose scarves, dangling jewelry, and open-toe shoes. We provide ASTM/SEI certified helmets.
How do lesson packages work?
Lesson packages let you prepay for multiple lessons at a discounted rate. Our 4-Lesson Pack saves $40 and the 8-Lesson Pack saves $120 on private lessons. Packages are valid for several months from purchase.
